These continue to be tough times for many of us, with the cost of living putting pressure on households and  businesses in St Helens and across the country.

Our Labour council has pulled together all the latest advice, information and support and continues to do everything it can with partners to help people.

Council Leader David Baines says: “Times are difficult right now for most of us, with more and more families struggling to put food on the table and pay for the essentials. As a Council we did everything we could to help people during Covid, and that work has continued now through the cost of living emergency. 

I encourage anyone struggling to find out what help is available and don’t hesitate to ask – there is no shame whatsoever in needing support, and there are lots of amazing people and groups in our borough ready to offer it.”
