This autumn, the Rugby League World Cup 2021 is coming to St Helens.
Taking place between 15 October and 19 November 2022, organisers are aiming to draw in record crowds, with the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions staged in a single, celebratory event tipped to be the biggest and best Rugby League World Cup yet.
During the tournament, St Helens and Liverpool will host the Tongan and Italian men’s national teams – while three men’s fixtures will be held at Saints’ 18,000-capacity Totally Wicked Stadium, recently voted the third-best purpose-built rugby stadium in the world.
St Helens is synonymous with rugby league and we’re delighted to be playing our part in this year’s event.
Fixtures in St Helens are as follows:
- Tonga vs Papua New Guinea – Tuesday 18 October, 7:30pm
- Tonga vs Wales – Monday 24 October, 7:30pm
- Australia vs Italy – Saturday 29 October, 7:30pm
