Marie Rimmer, Labour MP for St Helens South and Whiston, today attended a Black Lives Matter protest in Victoria Square, St Helens.

Marie says: “It was an honour to be at the peaceful and socially distant Black Lives Matter protest in St Helens. The wonderful young organisers did a fantastic job, even though they were getting a lot of horrible messages and hate online trying to pressure them into cancelling.

I was proud to stand with them here because BLACK LIVES MATTER.”
