Labour puts forward experienced Sutton North West team for May elections
St Helens Labour has confirmed its candidates for Sutton North West Ward ahead of May’s all-out local elections, with Cllr John Hodkinson and Cllr Niall Campbell both seeking re-election.
The announcement marks the latest step in Labour’s borough-wide campaign, as the party prepares to contest every seat on the council following its recent campaign launch attended by members, councillors and senior Labour figures.
Cllrs Hodkinson and Campbell will stand again after representing residents in Sutton North West, bringing experience, local knowledge and a strong record of working on behalf of the community.
Council Leader Anthony Burns welcomed the team and praised their continued commitment to local residents.
Anthony Burns said:
“John and Niall have both worked tirelessly for the people of Sutton North West and have a clear understanding of the issues that matter most to residents.
“They are dedicated councillors who have delivered for their community, and I’m pleased they are standing again to continue that work.”
The candidates were confirmed as Labour continues its campaign ahead of elections where every council seat will be contested.
Cllr John Hodkinson said:
“It’s a privilege to represent Sutton North West and I’m proud of the work we’ve done for residents. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the community and building on that progress.”
Cllr Niall Campbell said:
“Sutton North West is a fantastic community and it’s an honour to represent local people. I’m committed to continuing to work hard and deliver for residents.”
