During the Christmas holidays, children and young people eligible for free school meals have been able to access nearly 170 fun activities as part of the DfE funded HAF programme, with a healthy meal provided.
Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Councillor Nova Charlton, called by one of our St Helens Family Hub & Children’s Centres last week where she got involved in a family winter crafts session.
Nova says: “It’s fantastic to see children enjoying themselves and getting a healthy meal. We’re committed to doing all we can to give every child the best possible start in life and the holidays activities we provide are just one example of our commitment. Thank you to all the staff who deliver such a fantastic programme.”
