Our Summer Report
Our Summer Report

We’ve today published our Summer 2022 Report, featuring highlights and headlines of our work since winning May’s local elections: https://www.sthelenslabour.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/728/2022/08/St-Helens-Borough-Labour-Group-Summer-2022-Report.pdf

The report includes updates on the many significant regeneration projects underway across the borough, changes to the local health and care system, activities for children and families, the Local Plan, our new Library Strategy, events such as the Platinum Jubilee, Pride and Armed Forces Day, and much, much more.

Council Leader David Baines says: “We’re delighted to publish our Summer Report. This is part of our commitment to being accountable, available and active all year round, and we hope residents and our partners in the local private, public and third sector find it informative.

We have done a huge amount since May, and credit goes to my Cabinet, the Labour Group, and of course our outstanding Council keyworkers who day in, day out work tirelessly to deliver for the people of our great borough.

Also featured in the report are links to help and advice for those struggling with the cost of living crisis, and information about support available locally as well as the Labour Party’s plan to provide households with support now and in the long term. Cllr Baines adds: “We know that right now most people’s minds are on making ends meet. As set out in our report, the cost of living crisis is causing real hardship already, and both nationally and locally Labour are determined to do all we can to help people.

I encourage residents to visit www.sthelens.gov.uk/sthelenstogether for lots of links to financial support and advice.”
