St Helens charities will receive a funding boost

St Helens Labour Council has announced extra funding of over £40,000 for several local charities to help them support people through the coronavirus crisis.

Council Leader David Baines says: “I’m delighted to be able to confirm that we are giving some of our most vital local charities a funding boost – Hope Centre, Teardrops Supporting the Homeless., Age UK Mid Mersey, and HSHVCA.

This money will go to supporting the essential work of these groups in St Helens.

Thank you to everyone who is helping in our borough. We are working to announce even more support in the coming days and weeks.”
