St Helens Labour Council is empowering the next generation of artists and cultural leaders with the launch of the FLASH (Future Leaders in Arts in St Helens) paid mentorship programme.

Kickstarting Creative Careers

Targeted at local young people aged 18-25, FLASH offers a paid opportunity (£250 bursary) for training, mentorship, and practical experience in the arts. This initiative, funded through the St Helens Borough of Culture Award, directly reflects Labour’s commitment to supporting youth and boosting the local creative economy.

Participants will gain:

  • One-to-one mentorship with industry professionals.
  • Practical skills by designing and delivering workshops in local primary schools.
  • Key qualifications, including Level 1 Safeguarding.
