Rainhill High has welcomed back more pupils as restrictions ease

Council Leader David Baines has once again thanked school staff for their tireless work through lockdown, and has welcomed the comments of staff who are celebrating the return of more pupils to the classroom.

David Baines says: “It’s great to hear from local school leaders who have taken the decision – with the support of St Helens Borough Council – to welcome back more pupils if they can do so safely.

It’s clearly important and is having a positive impact on the pupils now able to attend, as the comments (pictured) from Rainhill High School headteacher Mrs Thorogood show.

Don’t forget that all our schools have been open throughout lockdown, and as a former teacher and a dad of two young children I know how hard our school staff work. Thank you all!”
